Dungeon Life
My Review
An interesting spin on the LitRPG genre—in this case the protagonist is a dungeon. But there was over-explanation of stuff that doesn't matter and not enough plot. This suffers from the challenges of the genre. The bummer is that the ending introduces the next part of the plot, but I expect the next books to be more of the same with over-explanations of stuff I don't care about.
Publisher Description
When a seemingly normal man is killed in a seemingly normal car crash, he is given an abnormal choice: he can move on to the pearly gates or be reassigned. Thus, the sentient dungeon known as Thedeim was born! Slowly but surely, he learns the ropes, building himself up with scions of every creepy-crawly sort he can find; gathering mana; dealing with invaders, delvers, noobs, and annoying guild reps; and gradually becoming a local legend, strong enough to challenge even the most nightmarish of foes. In the aftermath of his last battle against the monstrous, inhuman Maw, the real movers and shakers of the world of Fourdock are starting to take notice of Thedeim. An acolyte of the goddess of magic and a crown inspector are dispatched to find out what exactly is going on with this new dungeon--and investigate the mysterious Ice Mage. All Thedeim wants to do is get his antkin enclave fully set up and finish the Forest of Four Seasons, a large themed area designed to challenge the strongest of delvers. He'll be pushed to his limits in the fourth installment of this dungeon-core isekai adventure.
